The application of nostalgia to study the development and evolution of Taiwan prose over fifty-odd years is the affirmation and examination of the contribution made by Taiwan prose to modem Chinese literature.
It argues that modern Chinese literary studies should reorient itself from the logical construction of “absolute idea” and historical judgment to historical hermeneutics, opening an open-ended interpretive space for literary history based on the value of modern literature, coordinated by Chinese Modern Literature, mediated by Chinese and Western cultures and literatures, and finally, methodologically controlled by literary aesthetics.
And then, this paper (will) (take) the Modern Chinese Literary History (1927-1937) as an example to analyze ″Five Faces of the Literary Modernity″. So the (paper) (will) (provide) a new academic model for the study of Modern Chinese Literary History.
Focusing on the current debates on cultural legitimation, the article examines the different discourses on modern Chinese culture: "aphasia" in modern Chinese literary theory; "Westernization" in modern Chinese poetry.
