The photolysis of coenzyme B12 (5'-deoxyadenosylcobalamin, AdoCbl) at 355nm inaqueous solution is investigated by Photoacoustic Calorimetry (PAC). Both enthalpy and reactionvolume change for this photoinitiat,ed reaction have been determined to be 131±12 kJ.mol-1 and61 mL.mol-1 , respectively. VB[2 model molecule, cyano - N - methyl - 3 - imidazolyl cohyrinate perehlorat 8 was synthesized from the vitamin 612.8 was treated with acidic buffers in methanol to give compounds 9 and 10. UV - Vis spectra were determined in buffers of different pH values and equilibrium constants of Co -N bonds were calculated .The strength of coordination valence between the central Co atom of eobyrin ring with the N atom of isolated N - methylimidazole ligand is weaker than that of ligand linked with eobyrin cycle.
