The present paper deals with the identification of founders of polygenic theory in quantitative genetics and the historic course of establishment of the theory. It is argued in this paper that G, U. Yule, a famous biometrician in England, played an important role in the theory establishment. The implication of the course on the research of quantitative genetics is discussed.
