The influences of reaction temperature on the structure of the catalyst of PtRu/SWCNTs were studied and the prepared catalyst was compared with commercial catalyst PtRu/C(JM).
The polarization characteristic test of air electrodes with the LaMn1-yCryO3 catalysts was investigated. The test results showed that the prepared catalysts had good electrocatalytic activity for the oxygen reduction and the best electrocatalytic activity was achieved when the composition was fixed at LaMn0.8Cr0.2O3 with output current density of 70 mA/cm2 at the electrode potential of-200 mV(vs.Hg/HgO).
The maximum electrochemical specific area of ca 148 cm2·mg-1 was obtained with an electrodeposited Pt loading of ca 0.38 mg·cm-2, which is ca 2 times higher than that of the Pt-C/Si electrode with similar Pt loading of ca 0.40 mg·cm-2. Such a Pt/Si electrode showed an enhanced catalytic activity for methanol oxidation.
