The activity equations established by the mathematic statistical method are relativelyhigh in accuracy, thus rendering possible the prediction of the activity of fly ash, especiallywhen it is used as cement admixture. As the activity of fly ash is somewhat varying whenit is applied to various uses, the aetivity equations should find their use in the rationalutilization of fly ash resources.

Studies were designed to determine whether there were alteration of protein Kinase G activity in the human leukemic cell line, HL-60, during induction of macrophage-like differentiation by 1 2- tetradecanoyl phorbol 13-acetate(TPA) .TPA added to intact HL-30 cells caused a concentration-dependent decrease in "total" detergent-soluble protein kinase C activity within one hour. The decrease in protein kinase C activity in extracts of intact cells that exposed to TPA did not appear to be due to an inhibitor of protein kinase C activity induced by TPA. DEAE-cellulose chromatography showed that the decrease was found to be due to a decrease in the level of protein kinase G activity in cytosol, but there was a higer peak of enzyme activity, which eluted at NaCl concentrations greater than 0.125 mol/L NaCl, in particulate preparation. Trifluoperazine, which inhibits protein kinase C activity in cell extracts, was found to increase protein kinase C activity in intact HL-60 cells. However, trifluoperazine, when added to intact cells in combination with TPA, did not overcome the TPA-induced decrease in protein kinase C activity.

We studied this intranuclear body,called mininucleolus in our paper,and found that the body appeared as an ovoid or spherical structure about 0.3 to 0.5 μm in diameter.The mininu- cleolus was shown,with conventional TEM staining,to be the same electron-dense as the con- densed chromatin,but no structural connections could be found between them.The results of Bernhard's staining and the protein specific staining indicated that the mininucleolus contained both RNA and proteins which formed ribonucleoprotein(RNP)particles about 15 μm in diame- ter.These particles are very similar,in their ultrastructure and chemical composition,to the granular comoonents of the nucleolus.A careful examination revealed that the mininucleoli were formed in the granular region of the nucleolus.After they became separated from the nucleolus,these bodies were distributed throughout the nucleoplasm,suggesting that they may move from the nucleolus to the nuclear membrane.Based on these data,we suggest that the mininucleolus is a non-chromatin intranuclear structure which is formed in the nucleolus and may have a function of transporting ribosomal RNA from the nucleolus to the cytoplasm.

以蚕豆(Vicia faba)根端分生组织细胞为材料研究了微核仁的超微结构和细胞化学特点。结果表明;微核仁是直径0.3—0.5μm 的卵圆形或球形结构。常规染色时,微核仁与集缩染色质的电子密度相仿,但两者之间在结构上没有任何联系。细胞化学研究指出,微核仁含有 RNA 和蛋白质,其结构成分主要是与核仁颗粒组分十分相似的 RNP 颗粒。报道了植物细胞核中微核仁发生于核仁的过程并对微核仁的本质和功能进行了讨论。
