Land reclamation in Pingguo Bauxite Mine worked-out area with tailing cake was studied. In this experiment, tailing cake, mixed with proper amount of fly ash from power station, was employed as the main soil material; soybean was planted and then cut twice a year to fertilize the soil. The experiment result showed that after being fertilized for one year the reclaimed land could be used to plant crops and yielded more crops than local natural soil.
