Technological modification of coking wastewater treatment process in Chongqing Iron and Steel Company was accomplished in June 2004. HSB highly efficient microbes technology and O-A/O process are applied in the wastewater treatment process according to the characteristics of coking wastewater.
To synchronously cultivate the granular activated sludge and the traditional activated sludge in the coking wastewater treatment and to compare the removal characteristics of COD and NH_3-N was involved in this article.
In the treatment of coking wastewater with 380~1 200 mg/L COD and 63.7~134.4 mg/L NH_3-N,the COD and NH_3-N removal could reach more than 80% in R2.These properties are better than in R1.
