In this article, the diagonalization problem of a Hamiltonian with a general bilinear form isdiscussed by means of Green's function method. We have obtained the equation which is used to determine the energy spectrum. The excitations and life-times of a system of interacting bosons are inves- tigated under the cut-off approximation. At the temperature of absolute zero, the results obtained are in agreement with those of Bogoliubov and Beliaev, and others.

Advantages and disadvantages of grate-kiln process for pellet-making is discussed.For makinggreen pellets drum-type pelletizer is better than disk-type.Betonite is the best binder till now.Themain measures for improving sinter quality are:mining the raw materials to be sintered thronghbedding,thickening the bed of sintering strand,increasing the length (time) of ignition,adding thebassalt to the sintering mixture.Among all the facfors mentioned the consistency and stabilizationof all the physico-chemical properties of the feed are most important. Based on experiences of Thyssen Steel Co.in F.R.G.the author considered that the main as-pects of blast furnace technological development are:(1) relative increase of blast furnace volumeaccording to different local conditions,(2) further improvement in burden preparation before smel-ting,i.e.finer classification of feeds by size,consistency of physico-chemical properties of sinter andpellets etc.,(3) observation,measurement and control of the softening-melting zone in the blastfurnace;(4) injection of pulverized coal;(5) recovery of waste heat from the blast furnace.
