本文论述了历史上的和现代的热力学中唯物战战胜唯心论的一些主要论争.论述了唯心的热素说在历史上对科学技术的发展上的阻碍作用.论述了热力学第一定律,即,能量守恒及其互变定律,是唯物论和辩证唯物主义的重要基本观点,论证了现今自然科学界所流行的认为质量只是物质的惯性的度量这一观点的发展由来及其所存在的问题,批评了现今自然科学界所流行的避免肯定物质的量,甚至义为物质的量这一概念在科学上没有意义这样的非唯物论的观点,本文按照列宁的观点批判了唯能论的唯心论本质.按照恩格斯的论点和近年来自然科学上以及天文学上的发现和成就批判了克劳修斯的字宙热死论,也批判了波尔茨曼企图单只用统计热力学观点来解释宇宙演变的形而上学观点.现今很多物理和热力学的教科书上接受了波尔茨曼的观点,认为物质和能量的集中和恒星的产生是由于宇宙间某些地方违反热力学第二定律的结果,本文认为这样的观点是不正确的。本文认为,对于众多粒子的统观物体的热现象,包括星云和恒星的热现象在内,热力学第二定律是宇宙间一般的,普遍的法则.本文认为物质和能量的集中以及恒星的产生是宇宙羊物质的各种变化综合所造成的必然结果,而不是由于违反热力学第二定律的极其偶然的结果.

The Designs of a "Work-Shop" and "Residential Buildings with Shops on the Ground Floor" are case examples of works done by the Students of the advanced class for veteran Workers in the department of architectural engineering, Tsinghua University.Under the guidance of Chairman Mao's proletarian line in education, the broad revolutionary teachers and students adhere to the course of "open-door school-running", and integrate their class-room activities with typical building projects in their design and construction, hence sever with the old educational line that made students divorce from practice, workers and peasants, and physical labour. By fulfilling a certain amount of task assignments, they combine the theory in teaching with practice of actual design and construction work. Thus, quite good results have been obtained in a fairly short period of time.The "Work-Shop" has a built-up area of about 4,000 m2. Based on their many years' practical experiences, the veteran students, in the course of their studying for conventional industrial buildings, under the instructions of and through discussions with teachers, workers and technicians, have changed the isolationist and metaphysical ways of analysis of the theory of design, and put forth the scheme of taking into consideration the space integrity of the structural system.The "Residential Buildings with shops on the Ground Floor" covers a built-up area of about 2,700 m2. In merely three months' time, the students have learned the methods of general architectural design and courses of the theory of composite strutural design and duly completed all the working drawings of both architecture and structure.All these fruitful results have strongly retaliated upon the smears against worker-peasant-soldier students by the restorative force of the bourgeiosie.

In this article the following views based on the development of human knowledge about the universe are expounded: (1) In space the universe is infinite, infinitude nevertheless cannot exist by itself independent of things finite. Infinitude and finite-ness form a unity of opposites. Finiteness transforms into infinitude, infinitude transforms into finiteness. All the various versions on the infinitude and the finite-ness of the universe that existed in history, from Newton's classical model of the universe to...

In this article the following views based on the development of human knowledge about the universe are expounded: (1) In space the universe is infinite, infinitude nevertheless cannot exist by itself independent of things finite. Infinitude and finite-ness form a unity of opposites. Finiteness transforms into infinitude, infinitude transforms into finiteness. All the various versions on the infinitude and the finite-ness of the universe that existed in history, from Newton's classical model of the universe to modern cosmology, cannot lead to a correct knowledge of the dialectics of infinitude and finiteness; thus, as a consequence, they all degenerate into metameta-physics and idealism. (2) In time the universe is also infinite. Matter in the universe is in incessant development. The totality of the universe has neither beginning nor end. The theory of a motionless universe is unsound. It is a far-reaching realization in the development of human knowledge of the universe that the universe is a unity of such opposites as absolute infinitude and relative finiteness.

本文通过人类对宇宙认识的发展,阐明:1)宇宙在空间上是无限的,但无限不能脱离有限孤立存在。无限和有限是对立的统一,有限转化为无限,无限转化为有限。历史上形形色色的宇宙无限论和有限论,从牛顿的经典宇宙模型到现代宇宙学,都不能正确认识有限和无限的辩证法,结果都走上了形而上学和唯心论。2)宇宙在时间上也是无限的。宇宙万物不断发展,宇宙总体无始无终,宇宙不动论是错误的,人类对宇宙的认识发展深刻阐明:宇宙是绝对无限和相对有限的对立统一。
