The results of orthogonal tests indicate that as the DS and MS of HPCMC increase with the rise of the viscosities in aqueous solution and the acid resistance of the composite ethers.
The rusults show that synthetic emulsion adhesive has good application characteristic such as thickening properties, adhesivity, the feature of non-adhesive net, acid resistance, thermostability, bubble breaking and no bubble gathering et al when monomers are St, MMA,BA, BMA and AA, the content of St,BA,AA, are respectively about 63% 17% or 18%and 6%, seeded emulsion polymerization two-step additioo method is adopted.
The results showed that the heat-stability of emulsion is worse as oxidant/reductant> 1 (mole ratio) than as oxidant/ reductant<1,the acid resistance of the emulsion obtained by redox system is better than the resistance to alkali and the added electrolytes lower the stability of the emulsion,
It is also found that, at low degree of crosslinked HPCMC with epichlorohydrin, its acid resistance can be further improved, and that the prepared products can be used in many fields, such as foods, beverages, paints and drilling mud.
After comparing the properties of CMC synthesized through the above methods, CMC which was synthesized by adding TPP in alkalization stage had best heat-resistance, salt-resistance and acid-resistance properties.
