The airplane seeder is a seeding mechanism hung outside the airplane. Under the influence of flow field around the airplane, the paths of seeds were always different from that expected, resulting in low precision of seeding.The conventional design method was improved by applying the theory of whole-flow-field general design method. The FB-85 airplane seeder was constructed with this theory. Through testing, it was shown that the main performance indices of the airplane seeder designed with the above mentioned were distinctly improved.This theory is not only important for the design of airplane seeders, but also for other airplane spreading devices. In this article, using the whole-flow-field general design theory, the air-shock type fixed-wing airplane seeder was explained aft an example.

This paper introduces an automatic controller for a chaff cutter coupled with a spray equipment of silage additives. The controller can automatically regulate the flow rate of the spray equipment according to the real time feeding of the chaff cutter so that the chaff liquid ratio keep under an optimum value. By testing the working current,the output speed of the driving motor and the displacement of the feeding rollers, the controller can monitor the real time feeding of the chaff cutter, calculate the corresponding...

This paper introduces an automatic controller for a chaff cutter coupled with a spray equipment of silage additives. The controller can automatically regulate the flow rate of the spray equipment according to the real time feeding of the chaff cutter so that the chaff liquid ratio keep under an optimum value. By testing the working current,the output speed of the driving motor and the displacement of the feeding rollers, the controller can monitor the real time feeding of the chaff cutter, calculate the corresponding flow rate according to the optimum chaff liquid ratio, and control the stepping motor to adjust the flow regulating valves to realize the flow regulation. The design of the hardware and software are also introduced. The results of the performance tests are as follows: the measuring error of feeding ≤±13%; the control error of flow rate ≤±2%; the uniformity error of spraying ≤±8%; the regulation period≤1.5 seconds.
