ZnSe-ZnS superlattices(SLS) are grown by MOCVD on (100) GaAs substrstes, following the deposition of a 1μm-thick ZnS buffer layer. Each sample is composed of 50 ZnSe wells of thicknesses Lw= 8nm and 50 ZnS barries of thicknesses Lb= 8nm, respectively. The samples are stuck on clear glr.ss so that the GaAs substrate material is exposed. ZnSe-ZnS superlattices(SLS) are grown by MOCVD on (100) GaAs substrstes, following the deposition of a 1μm-thick ZnS buffer layer. Each sample is composed of 50 ZnSe wells of thicknesses Lw= 8nm and 50 ZnS barries of thicknesses Lb= 8nm, respectively. The samples are stuck on clear glr.ss so that the GaAs substrate material is exposed. The GaAs substrate is mechanically lapped to a thickness of 200-300μm and then etched a light window with a selective chemical etch.Three light windows, on which the thicknesses of SLS and ZnS are 0.8 and 1μm,respectively, are obtained on the same sample after chemical etching hole and their absorption spectra are measured at room temperature. It is found that the excitonic absorption properties of three holes are the same although the qualities of surface of grown layer near to GaAs are not same because of effect of chemical etching on its growth layer. The one of three light windows is cleaved and the etching depth is measured by using SEM. It is found that the existence of ZnS buffer layer protects the excitonic properties of SLS layer because the etched depth is less than thickness of ZnS buffer layer.The light window area of 3×3mm2 with grown layer of l.8μm in thick have been obtained by anodization methode for the first time. Microscope observation (×120) shows the light window surface near to GaAs is very smooth. The 300×300μm2 multiple arraies on the ZnSe-ZnS SLS of 3×3mm2 have been carried out recently. This result shows it is possible to obtain the integration of optical switching and optical computing devieces in ZnSe-ZnS SLS.

Abstract The expanding field of solid state laser and devices up一grade forms an interesting challengefor the development of coatings.A wide variety of different specifications, often contradictory,has to be matched.The choice of deposition process and coating materials is crucial with respectto losses,damage threshold,optical specifications and their long term stability. Especially,up一grade LF一11  ̄# solid state laser has proposed a number of new requirementsfor optical coatings.We have developed a variety of optical coatings for up一grade LF一11 ̄#laser;This paper briefly deals with the antireflection coatings of the fused silica,BK7 glass. Single wavelength antireflection coatings for the up一grade LF一11 ̄#laser contain three wave-length一1064nm,532nm and 351nm一AR coatings.The residual reflectance required for this sys-tem is less than 0.1%at the different wavelength.As far as the fused silica substrate is con-cerned, the two coating materials have been selected.The condition for single wavelength ARcoatings is Fig.1 shows the experimental rellection curve ot single wavelengthcoatings on BK7 and fused silica,the coating materials are Gd_2O_3 and SiO_2 An easy and effective way to find a good starting design for two wavelength AR coatings isthe vector method.Fig.3 demonstrates the geometry under consideration. Providing that the opti-cal thickness for the single layer is quarter wavelength,the parameters for a variety of layers arecalculated by the equations(5)and(6).Using these equations,the AR coatings structure for the1064nm and 532nm has been obtained. subtrate0.25λ_0 0.25λ_0 0.25λ_0 air n=1.52 n=1.82 n=1.58 n=1.38 n=1.0Fig.4 shows the spectral reflectance for the coating design. Fig. 5 is the experimental reflectioncurve of dual wavelength AR coatings.The coating design is Sub/ M2HL/ air,H一HfO_2,M一Al_2O_3,L一MgF_2.The reflectances for the 532nm and 351nm are 0.3%. Up一grade LF一11  ̄# laser is a tripling frequency system. The final output wavelength is351nm. AR coating of 1064nm,532nm and 351nm three wavelength has been required for some op-tical components in this system at the same time. We also use the vector method to design thistype sa coatings,The Sub/HQHQ/air design structure has been put forward,H一half wavelayer and Q一quarter layer optical thickness.The refraction of layers are obtained by the equa-tions(7),( 8 )and(9).The AR coatings design results for the various substrates一BK7,fusedsilica and LiNiO_3一have been given in Table 1.Fig.8 shows the experimental reflection curve ofthe doubling and tripling frequency three wavelength of the fused silica.The multilayer films have been deposited be the A700Q box chamber.The deposition pres-sure is 3mPa. Coating elements have been used in the up一grade LF一11 ̄#,the output energy180J has been obtained at the tripling frequency laser wavelength.The performance of multilayerfilms is stable and reliable.

固体激光器装置升级扩展对薄膜研制提出了严重挑战。相互矛盾的各种技术指标必须匹配。就损耗、激光损伤阈值、光学技术指标和长期稳定性来讲,淀积工艺和镀膜材料的选取是至关重要的。特别地,LF一11 ̄#固体激光器升级对光学薄膜提出了许多新的性能要求。我们研制了LF一11 ̄#激光器升级所用各种薄膜元件。现分两部分讨论各种膜系研制情况。第一部分就是这篇论文所涉及的BK7玻璃,熔石英玻璃材料上的单波长,倍频双波长,二倍频、三倍频三波长减反射膜的研制。给出了膜系设计,淀积试验,光谱性能测试和激光损伤实验结果。

Glasses of absorbing X-ray and lasers are studied. Optical properties,absorptionspectra, X-ray aborption and physical-chemistry properties of the glasses are measured.Experimental result shows that the lead-borosilicated glass doped with Ta2O5 is promising forabsorption of X-ray and 1. 06 μm lasers.
