Phytoremediation is a technique of clearing pollutants in territorial and hydraulic ecosystem by use of plants. The ecological functions of plants such as regulating water balance, improving soil microenvironment, secreting varied organic materials, stimulating soil microbial activities have already been known, but the phytoremediation as an independent subject appeared only in recent decade. Based on the different applied mechanism and objectives, phytoremediation can be divided into:phytoextraction, rhizofiltrition, phytostabilization, rhizo and phytodegradation, phytovolatilization, hydraulic control and application of genetic modified organism. Until now, due to the shortage of experiences and relative time consuming process of application, there are difficulties in extension of this technique. But from the international tendency, owing to advantages such as low cost, little risk and preservation of soil and its microbe, this techniques has magnificent prospective in development research and application.

植物修复是一门利用植物清理陆地和水生态系统污染的技术。植物具有的一些生态功能 ,如调节水分平衡、改善土壤微生物环境、分泌多种有机物、促进土壤微生物活动等 ,虽早已被认识 ,但植物修复作为一门单独的技术却是近 1 0年才出现的。根据不同的应用机理和对环境的改造目的 ,植物修复技术可分为 :植物提取、根系过滤、植物固定、植物根系和体内降解、植物挥发、水分控制、应用基因改造生物等。至今由于这一技术积累的经验少、而且修复所需的时间又较长 ,给修复技术的应用推广带来一定的难度 ,但从国际发展大趋势看 ,由于这一技术在应用上具有投资少、生态风险小、改造过程中能保护好土壤及其生物等优点 ,其开发研究和应用前景十分广阔。

In this paper, principle of phyto-remediation is described and application in heavy metal and radioactive pollution treatment for soil are discussed with respect to phto-extraction, rhizo-filtration, phyto-stabilization, phyto-evaporization.

在污染物的治理上 ,植物修复技术与其它治理方法相比 ,有明显优势。从积累作用、降解转化作用、催化作用介绍了植物修复有机污染物的原理以及植物修复技术在有机污染物中的应用。从植物萃取、根系过滤、植物固化、植物蒸发介绍了植物修复金属和放射性核素的机理及其在重金属污染治理中的应用 ,证明植物修复是生物学的、有效、廉价、无二次污染的原位绿色技术

At sites contaminated with organic contaminants, plants are used for remediation of organic wastes in several ways: phytodegradation, rhizodegradation, and phytovolatilization. Phytoremediation is a recent emerging technology that is used to stabilize or remove wastes from soils, groundwater or other medium by using living plants. Plants are used to remove metals through three mechanisms: phytoextra-ction, rhizofiltration, and phytostabilization. At sites contaminated with organic contaminants, plants are used for remediation of organic wastes in several ways: phytodegradation, rhizodegradation, and phytovolatilization. Besides, hydraulic control of plants is also an important mechanism controlling contaminants. The applications of trees to clean up chlorinated solvents, pesticides, crude oil, heavy metals, radionuclides, explosives, landfill leachates from soils and ground water have been achieved aboard. Plants have been used to treat wastes in air and transform nitrogen oxides to nitrogen gas in overseas countries. Among these achievements, the successful applications of hybrid plants to remove chlorinated solvents from ground water and transgenic plants to transform methyl-mercury into elemental mercury and releasing it into the atmosphere are the most remarkable. In China, the researchers have successfully used water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes Solms) to re-mediate some pesticides in wasted water. Arsenic hyperaccumulation in some plant species have been found and the achievements on the phytoremediation of insoluble fates of cadmium by Indian Mustard are also elegant.

 植物修复技术是利用活的植物对污染土、污染地下水等介质进行修复。植物对金属元素的净化机理是植物积累、根系过滤、植物根系对土的稳定作用;植物对有机物的净化机理是植物降解、生物刺激和植物的蒸发作用;此外植物的水力控制也是控制污染的主要途径。目前国外在利用植物修复卤代烃、农药、汽油、柴油、重金属、放射性物质、废旧炸药、处理污染填土淋滤液、利用植物分解处理空气中的污染物质或将氧化氮转化为氮气等多方面的研究已取得很多重要成果,而其中最为显著的是利用杂交植物对卤代烃污染地下水进行修复和研究利用转基因植物吸收土壤中的甲基汞。我国在植物修复技术方面的研究也取得重大成果,如利用凤眼莲修复污水中的某些农药、利用蜈蚣草叶片富集砷,利用印度芥菜对土壤中难溶态镉的吸收等。
