Confidence level λi was found to be greatly influenced by weathering. After 30 days weathering, confidence levels for differentiating Ren Qiu Crude oil and 35# heavy diesel oil, from other thirteen types of oil, are in the ranges of 0.99939 >λi>0.99725 and 0.99791>1,>0.99026, respectively.
The effects of different ratios of cracking gasoline residue and heavy diesel oil from catalytic cracking on formation rate of mesophase pitch, yield, content of mesophase, microscopic structrue and spinning properties were studied. The best ratio has been derived.
