Usually, pavement deflection and pavement condition index(PCI) are considered as indenpendent variables and predicted separately. Based on the rating of pavement structural capacity and PCI prediction curves, this paper illustrates the relationships among the PCI, deflection and ΣESAL, which are the most basic relationships in pavement field. Research results show that the increase of deflection near the critical state will be 32%—18% (for unbounded base) and 25%—12% (for semi-rigid base), and that the PCI=70-80...

It can be seen from the analysis that the improvement of current pavement design is necessary.

路面损坏状况、弯沉和累计轴载作用次数三者之间的关系是路面领域中最基础的关系之一。根据已有的路面结构能力评价标准和路面状况指数(PCI)预测曲线,本文用图解法导得了这三者之间的关系,从而为许多路面课题的研究开辟了前景。研究表明,随着累计轴载作用次数的增加,弯沉增加的速度越来越快,临界状态时的增幅达32%~18%(碎砾石基层)和25%~12%(半刚性基层):弯沉的增加和PCI的减少具有密切的内在联系,PCI=75~80和PCI=40~50的等值线将弯沉的变化划分为三个阶段,这三个阶段即相应于结构能力评价中的三个等级。分析还表明,强基薄面的设计思想有改进的必要。
