This paper aims to describe Dr, S. P. Krashen's Theory of Language Acquisition and to explore the English Language teaching from a new viewpoint. According to the theory mentioned above, a right amount of language input is vital to effective learning. Therefore, language teaching must be transformed from a teacher - centered pattern into a students-centered one so as to improve strdents'communicatire ability.

根据语言习得理论,有效的学习必须保证适当的输入,而且这种输入必须是真实的。基于此,英语教学必须由以教师为中心转变为以学生为中心,为学生创造一个良好的语言学习环境,从而实现培养交际能力的教学目标。
