Process transient stability simulation calculation based on power flow which uses the differ-ent accuracy of synchronous generator mathematical model in power system comprehensive program.
A comprehensive program of calculation of background values was compiled on the basis of statistical testing software on APPLE-2 computer. Finally the background values in Beijing area, as an example, were analysed by this comprehensive program and the results were satisfactory.
Reliability-optimization design of partially prestressed concrete simply-sup-ported T-beam in highway bridge is studied in the paper by incorporating the structural reliability theory and optimum design method. First,the reliability-optimization model is estab-lished,and then the comprehensive program is worked out,in which the constrained nonlinear optimization is performd by augmented Lagrange Method coupled with Powell’s direct search method of unconstrained nonlinear optimization techniques ,finally ,an example is given and the calculated results are analysed.

Based on the principle of subgoal deduction (SGD), a mechanical reasoning system is developed, which lessens considerably the difficulties caused by the "combinatory explosion", a main drawback of resolution method. An algorithm of automatic synthesis of recursive program using SGD technique and structural induction principle is designed and implemented on FELIX C-256 computer. This is illustrated by a derivation of the "SOET" program.
