Histological observation on the mantles in some freshwater mollusksindicate that the connective tissue of the mantle originate from cell-polymerized-mass(CPM). The cytogenesis of CPM usually take place in a kind of sac structureand the reproduction of cells inside the sac can form many 3 to 20 GPM that dissi-milar in size, each are made up of a large number of cells with no intercellular sub-stance. As CPM develops, the sac wall breaks and CPM get out of the sac. Finally,the cells of CPM disperse into the connective tissue surroundings. There are otherkind of quasi-cell-polymerized-mass(QCPM) distributed over the marginal mantle.The process of cytogenisis and development of QCPM are observed and are compar-ed with OPM, and indicate that QCPM made the formation of both histocyte andhisto--structure of the connective tissue of the marginal mantle. As the CPM develops, some different cells such as fibroblastes and granule cellsare formed. The transformation between these two kinds of cells are constantly occu-rred: fibroblasts gradually accumulate the granule slime uacuoles and finally developinto spherelike granule cells. Sphere-Like granute cell revert to the original stateafter the slime vacuoles were released. Therefore, as the new connective tissue for-med from the developments of the CPM or QCPM, two kinds of secretory materialare produced, ie. fibrous material and granule slime vacuoles, the former constitutesthe fundamentals of the connective tissue while the latter is related to the formationof the shell.

The CIC level in most of the children with the mucous membrane disease was low. The teenager's vitamin A deficiency in rural (Gaocheng, Hebei) (11.4%) was more than that in the urban (Beijing) (3.0%). The vitamin A nutrition was normal in adults. As the CIC method was well correlated to the serum vitamin A concentration method, could be used to assess vitamin A status.According to the nutrition survey in China in 1982, 0.9% people were found to have vitamin A deficiency, but there were more people with poor vitamin A status if CIC method was used,so the situation should further be investigated.

实验对结膜痕迹细胞学方法(CIC)进行了研究并加以改进。用0.45μ醋酸纤维膜对不同人群进行采样,以FAA液固定,固定时间可达两月之久,用过碘酸—Schiff试剂将球状细胞和粘蛋白染成粉红色,用Delafield苏木精将上皮细胞染成紫红色,即可进行镜检。实验采用48孔染色架可大大提高染色效率。包括婴幼儿在内的采样成功率可达97%以上。根据上皮细胞,球状细胞和粘蛋白的大小,形态将维生素A营养水平分为正常、临界、缺乏三个水平及相应的六个阶段。实验对不同地区不同年龄组的904人进行采样分析发现:农村儿童维生素A缺乏率(18.8%)大大高于城市儿童(0),农村青少年11.4%的缺乏率高于城市青少年(3.0%),成年人基本正常。对CIC方法与血清维生素A浓度法进行比较,结果两者呈正相关(r=0.78)

The result showed that Gigartina tenella possessed very strong in-vitro regeneration throughout several repeated experiments After three days' culture sticking-up cells appeared on the cortex and epidermis of the upper thallus fragments; after 7 or 8 days' culture, they could grow up into young shoots; and after 40 days' culture, they could grow up into 10 mm larvae with bracnhes The bottom thallus fragments produced cotton-ball cells adhefring to the culture container.
