In this paper,Two major limitation factors of Coal-Water Slurry (CWS) injection into B.F. ,raceway adiabatic flame temperature(RAFT) reduction and CWS droplet burn-out rate in raceway zone, were calculated respectively on the basis of principles of chemical thermodynamics and combustion reaction kinetics. The relations of CWS properties and its operation parameters were obtained when the blast temperature and moisture were given.
An unidimensional mathematical model is developed to describe the behaviours within the raceway zone of a blast furnace with simultaneous injection of pulverized coal and fine ore.
The model is applied to the simulations of 3-D gas-particle flows and pulverized coal combustion in the 750 m~3 blast furnace. The cold two-phase flow predictions are compared with the PDPA measurements, general agreement is achieved between the calculated results and test data, the average relative error is 11.6%.
The pulverized coal feeding and burning cases can be supervised by peehole in tuyere. Temperature distribution can be studied by brightness and numerical simulation of pulverized coal combustion.
Influence of different tuyere diameter, length and coke particle sizes composition on radial length, width, height and volume in BF tuyere rotary region is studied by calculation.
The development of a cavity or a raceway can result in three types of variations of pressure drop with time: stabilization, slight fluctuation and severe fluctuation.
Laboratory experiments using small raceway ponds have shown that Spirulina maxima can be adapted easily to grow in sea-water supplemented with nitrate, phosphate, bicarbonate, and Fe-EDTA.
In this paper an attempt has been made,by a model test, to find out the behavior of flow of primary slags in blast furnace. It has been verified that the slags within softening-melting zone flow downward along the declination of this zone and gether together at its lowest part where the slags fall down. Therefore, slags near to the wall flow downward rather more than in the middle part of the furnace when the softening-melting zone is of a shape of inverse V. Conversly, slags in the middle part flow downwar...
This paper discussed the relations between the optimum distribution pattern of gas flow, thesize of furnace, and behavior of raw materials etc., with low fuel rate, based upon practical operationof blast furnaces at home and abroad in association with the investigation of furnace dissection, surveyof charging profile at the stockline level before blowing in and measurement of raceway depth. It is thought that under the present conditions, with improved burden materials more plain CO_2curve of double peaks ty...
Smelting of iron in a normal-working blast furnace may be considered as a pseudo-stable process of momentum, heat and mass transfer between the countercurrent gas and burden flow. Therefore analysis and investigation of gas flow distribution based on equation of continuity and equation of motion is the foundation for further study on heat and mass transfer.
