An analysis of the karyotypes was undertaken in five species of climber birds based on colchicine ?hypotoinc ?air drying technigue with bone marrow. The results were given as fol-lows: (1) CucuLidae: Centropus sinensis 2n=76?(2) Alcedinidae:Halcyon smyrnensis 2n=76 (?) ; (3) The karyotypes of the rest three species (Cuculus canorus, Caprimulgus indicus, Otus bakkamoena) are different from that of the some results presented in records.

本文采用常规空气干燥法制备髓细胞染色体标本,分析了攀禽类褐翅鸦鹃、大杜鹃、白胸翡翠、夜鹰、领角鸮五种鸟类的核型。其中褐翅鸦鹃、白胸翡翠属首次报道,其余三种鸟类的核型在国内已有报道,我们分析的结果与文献报道有一定的差别。特别是领角鸮和夜鹰属留鸟类,各地区有不同的分布类群,核型上有所差别。

In this study,contents of heavy metal,copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),lead(Pb) and cadmium(Cd) were measured in the feather,muscle,bone,liver and heart of four species of raptors,Grass Owl(Tyto capensis),Oriental Scops Owl(Otus sunia),Eurasian Hobby(Falco subbuteo) and Common Kestrel(Falco tinnunculus),collected from Jimei area in Xiamen.The result showed that the heavy metal contents were Zn>Cu>Pb>Cd in the feather,muscle,liver and heart of Grass Owl and Oriental Scops Owl and in the five kinds of organs and tissues of Eurasian Hobby and Common Kestrel,and that the heavy metal contents were Zn>Cu>Pb>Cd in the bone of Grass Owl and Oriental Scops Owl.The copper,zinc,lead and cadmium were higher in the liver,heart and bone,but lower in the muscle of raptor birds.Heavy metal contents in the raptors were mainly affected by environmental pollution,food habit and the ability of collecting heavy metal of the birds.
