In this paper, the moving characteristics of cathode spots in reverse polarity soft plasma arc, the-distribution of cathode spots, current distribution and voltage distribution, the influence of energy produced cathode spots on distribution of arc energy are studied.The experimental results indicated that fundamental characteristics ofreverse polarity soft plasma arc and new mechanism of bead formation in weldsurfacing depend on the behavior of cathode spots of the reverse polarity soft plasma arc.

Through the analyses including chemical analysis, metallography, SEM, TEM, X-ray diffraction and electrochemical polarization etc, it was found that the composition of coating layer is approximate to the original Inconel 625 target. The micromorphology of the coating layer is characterized by droplet piling. During the initail period of deposition, the amorphous film has been observed and preferential growth of deposit along (111) orientation has been detected. The corrosion resistance of the coating is similar to Inconel 625. The porosity of the coating layer, the deposition rate and the distribution of the coarse particles were investigated. The details of the structure inside the cathode spot holes were observed and some new important results were obtained.

采用多弧离子镀工艺研究了以Inconel 625为阴极靶材制备多元合金镀层的规律。用化学分析、金相、SEM,TEM,X射线衍射以及电化学极化等方法,发现了镀层成分与原靶材成分基本相似,以凝滴堆垛为特征的镀层形貌,初始非晶膜的形成和沿(111)面择优加厚生长以及合金耐蚀性在镀层中基本复现等规律。研究了镀层孔隙率、单源沉积速率以及粗大颗粒分布等问题。观察到了阴极斑点孔洞内部结构细节,获得了新的结果。
