An examination of deflection behaviors of crack growth on the surface of a low carbon steel under impact fatigue loading has been carried out.It is revealed that the main characteristic of micro\|path of crack growth is zig\|zag form.Fatigue crack deflection is usually caused by grain boundary(GB),slip band (SB) and crack\|crack interaction.GB and SB play an important role in early fatigue life.When a crack arrives at a GB or a SB,the propagation is obstructed and the crack tip branches.Then the crack select the direction of main slip system within the grain to propagate,and the crack deflection occures.The effect of crack\|crack interaction on crack growth behavior of impact fatigue take place during the whole fatigue life,particularly during the last life,when crack propagate in such a way as cracks linking-up.With changing of crack growth path,the growth rate changes in a wave form,particularly during early fatigue life.

考察了在冲击疲劳载荷下低碳钢试样表面裂纹扩展的偏折现象,结果表明,冲击疲劳裂纹扩展的微观途径是以zigzag 方式为主要特征的晶界、滑移带、邻近裂纹间的相互作用是引起裂纹扩展偏折的三个主要因素。晶界和滑移带的影响主要体现在短裂纹扩展阶段,邻近裂纹间相互作用的影响贯穿于整个冲击疲劳裂纹扩展阶段,尤其在疲劳后期的表现更为突出,它使得裂纹扩展以微裂纹连接的方式进行。相应于裂纹扩展微观途径的改变,裂纹扩展速率在短裂纹扩展阶段会出现波浪式变化。

Cracking of porous ceramics under cyclic thermal shock has been investigated by water quenching experimental method.The materials used in this study were dense (volume fraction of the pores is less than 5%)and porous alumina (volume fraction of the pores is 30%).Slip casting slurries of alumina dispersed in water using an ammonium polyacrylate dispersing agent have produced samples.Porous alumina materials have been made by adding the appropriate volumes of cornstarch into the slurry.Samples are sintered at 1 550℃ for 1 h.The size of the samples is 35 mm×10 mm×2 mm.The samples were stacked with zirconia insulated covers in order to prevent access of the coolant to the side faces of the samples.The stacks were heated to some predetermined temperature in a small tube furnace and were kept in it for more than 20 mins and then dropped into water at room temperature.The samples were put into red dye penetrant for about 1 h after cleaned by acetone and then washed by water.Thus,the crack patterns are visible.The experimental results showed that the porous ceramic has a good cyclical thermal shock resistance compared with the dense ceramic.

对微孔洞体积分数分别为 5 %的密实材料和 30 %的微孔洞结构材料的两种氧化铝陶瓷材料 ,利用水冷却的实验法进行了热冲击的疲劳实验 .材料经金钢石砂轮切割 ,并抛光后 ,制成 35mm× 10mm× 2mm的试样 .为了使试样只在一个面上承受热冲击 ,以使其内部的热应力近似呈单向状态 ,试样的其它面皆用氧化锆板和高温粘合剂包封 .包封好的试样放入高温炉中 ,以 5℃·min-1的速率加热至 35 0℃ ,保温 30min后尽快抛入具有室温的水槽中 ,几分钟后取出 ,试样清洗后放入红色渗透液中 ,1h后取出 ,用清水冼净 ,此时裂纹图案清晰可见 .裂纹图案用扫描仪存入计算机中待分析 .同样的程序对试样进行多次实验 ,直至其破坏 .实验比较了不同微孔洞体积分数试样在相同的热冲击条件下 ,裂纹的扩展模式 .实验发现对于两种不同微结构的材料 ,裂纹起始模式没有明显的区别 ,都是多个几乎平行的裂纹从受热冲击的面上起始 ,然后沿与此面的法向相反的方向扩展 .随着热冲击次数的增加 ,在密实材料中 ,裂纹的长度逐渐增加 ,并在受到 12次热冲击后发生断裂破坏 ;而在微孔洞结构材料中 ,热冲击次数在 16次之前 ,裂纹的长度...
