First stage engineering started at the end of the year 1983 with the remodelling of the steam and condensate system. Automation and instrumentation covered during this stage were tereby presented, with operating principles involved stated.It was well admitted that the dryer part of a paper machine happened to be an energy consuming section. Upgrading heat efficiency would undoubtedly be the key point for energy conservation. Three-tage cascade steaming system used to be the traditional arrangement for a dryer section on a paper ma-chine. In such cases, secondary steam of lower pressure was introduced into subsequent dryers, giving lower surface temperatures for these dryers. Remodelling of such a system started with the installation of rotary siphons for condensate removal from dryers. A further measure was the compression of secondary steam in a heat pump to increase the inlet steam pressure into subsequent dryers. By so doing, it was able to create inlet steam pressures needed, thus giving higher dryer surface temperatures. However, addition of a heat pomp brought about complications in the steam and condensate system.Chinese made instruments of QDZ-J series was chosen for process control. The whole system was pretty well automated and was capable of connecting to the basis weight/moisture computerization system. Thus, computer monitoring of the steam and condensate system was rendered possible. Automatic switching of the steam and condensate system for normal operations and web breaks were practised. Com-pensation of inlet steam pressure and its corresponding pressure gradients could be materialized through complicated regulating systems composed of sectional control, overload control and others. In such a way, .normal operations with safety precautions were guaranteed. In addition to all these, a flow control system was installed for condensate removal

1983年2月,福建省青州造纸厂与美国BELOIT国际公司签订了有关纸机改造的合同,主机设备由ITALY-BELOIT公司承制。在第一期工程中,进行了蒸汽和冷凝水系统的改造。本文重点介绍新系统的自控仪表的组成和作用原理。 本流程在保留原烘缸的前提下,采用回转式虹吸管排水装置,并利用热泵,将二次蒸汽再压缩,使整个干燥部根据压力需要,设定各段烘缸曲进汽压力,提高烘缸的表面温度。 本文介绍的系统以国产QDz-Ⅲ型仪表为主,实现对整个过程的控制,还可与定量水份计算机控制系统联机,并采用了分程、超驰等调节系统,协调压力-压差控制,使整个生产过程安全、正常地运行。此外,本系统还采用烘缸排水系统的流量控制,以更好地实现过程控制。
