From this,we drawa conclusion that the dependence of HETP on the size of the resin canbe expressed as the formula:H=Cr~(-α), a=2.4 and prove that Snyder'seguation is suitable for such a system of isotope seperation as may beexplained from the point of view of simple displacement mechanism.
It is found that the relation between(α-1 )and (1-p) is linear in the extraction systems of lithium, using crown ethers and cryptands as complexing agent, where α denotes isotopic separation factor and p the concentration ratio,Li/polyether , in the organic phase.

The isotopic effect in the extraction of lithium by B15 C5(mono-benzo-15-crown-5) is reported in this paper. It is found that the anions have considerable effect onthe isotopic separation of lithium of the system.
