Words are very important in language learning. Mang People look upon then as the "building material" of the language. But the meaning of the words not only lies in the way the users use, but also lies in the context. The study on words and its context is to have the enlightment for teachers in teaching English words and have the help in cultivating the students' pragmatic competence as well.

学习词汇是学习语言不可缺少的。许多人把词汇比作语言的“建筑材料”。但词汇表达的意义既取决于说话者对词的运用,也依赖于具体的语境。对语境与词汇意义的探讨,在英语词汇教学中对教师有一定的启迪意义,也有助于对学生的语用能力的培养。
