This feature limits the fuel discharge per stroke. The paper presents the idea, theory and calculating formula of an ideal curve for forming a constant cross- section fuel-flow-path in needle valves. Restricted by the processing conditions, the tested needle used a simplified curve. Experiments conducted on a fuel pump test rig indicated that, if the fuel discharge per stroke for full rack setting is kept unchanged, the needle lift may be reduced by 44%. Thus, the downward impact of the needle in seating can be reduced greatly, and the operating life of the needle and valve seat will be prolonged considerably.

Consequen tly, many PWR designers and manufacturers abroad have given up the use of part-length rods. In view of this situation, the function of part-Length rods is further investigated and the control principle of axial burnup is discussed. It is suggested to divide the part-length rods into two groups with absorbers length equal to1/3 or1/2 of core height, so that either of them is alternately inserted into the core. The objective here is to highlight the strong points of part-length rods, while keeping clear of their short-covengs rings. And finally they will contribute to (1)avoid the shadowing effect and keep up the function of flattening axial power distribution and controlling xenon oscillation, (2)prolong the life-time of first-cycle fuel for 10-15 days with an extra electric power generation of 72-108 GWh as used in axial burn up control for a 300 MWe nuclear power plant, and (3) obtain greater rod worth as compared with a quarter rods, while acting also as xenon rods that serve to increase load-following capability. Such an arrangement is especilly beneficial to nuclear power plant designed to follow daily load.

目前国内外现有人工心脏瓣膜测试装置(或称循环系统模拟装置)普遍存在再现人体生理条件差以及测试结果客观性和可比性差的弊病。本文从分析和克服这些弊病出发,放弃仅以压力和流量波形作为判断系统是否正常的传统做法,以血管输入阻抗作为心室后负荷的恰当量度筛选出具有较强再现人体生理条件的后负荷系统,并在此基础上,研制出能较好模拟人体循环系统特性的具有标准后负荷的循环系统模拟装置。
