Based on parallel controllable optical fiber positioning for LAMOST, the key technique of high precision positioning unit based on double revolving device unit is presented. The data port of parallel port constitutes the intelligent controller of stepper motor. The system sets mechanical zero based on electron switch as the reference zero of the revolving unit to reduce the accumulate error of multi positioning. The system uses spring mechanism to eliminate the gear clearance, to improve its stability. The unit uses matrix CCD to characterize the position of the end of the optical fiber of the fiber unit by measuring the position of light spot from the end of the optical fiber. Experiments show that the positioning unit can position the fiber quickly and precisely. Its precision is 40μm.
