Rabinowitsch method is applied to all the rheometric data for non-Newtonian correction.The results show that the melt elasticity of the resins filled with plasma treated mica, expressed by die swell ratio, is smaller than that of resins filled with untreated mica, while the melt viscocity remains unchanged, this comes from the plasma treat-ment strengthening mica/resin interaction and antiflocculating mica particles, which is verified by morphology examination of the capillary extrudates.

Rheological properties of liquid crystalline meits for the aromatic copolyesters with p-hydroxybenzoic acid unit, 2, 7-naphthalenediol unit, terephthalic acid unit, 2, 6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid unit and ethylene glycol unit were studied by using an Instron Capillary Rheometer Model 3211. The results showed that the shear viscosity and the structural viscosity were lower than that of isotropic PET melt. The two kinds of viscosities were significantly affected by the rate of shear, melt temperature and 2, 7-naphthalenediol unit content. The values of flow-activation energy (E_η)_(γω) and(E_η)_(σω) of the copolyester melts were between 72.32--193.12 kJ/mol and 150.50--340.61 kJ/mol respectively. It was suggested that the liquid crystalline melts whose extrudate swelling ratios were between 0.98--1.30 had the lower elasticity and the better spinnability.

In this paper, some important expressions of polymer melt elasticity in injection molding were discussed. The researching development in characterization of the melt elasticity behaviour and process mechanism explained by scholars at home and abroad was briefly reviewed, the work in this field were made by author and his companions during these years were summarized.

本文论述了聚合物熔体注模过程中弹性特性的几种重要的表现。对于国内外学者在熔体弹性行为的表征及过程机理的解释等方面的研究进展作了简要的述评,并综述了作者及其同事近年来在这方面所做的工作。
