This paper presents a new method for the automatic modulation recognition of digital communication signals. Different types of modulated signals that have identical power spectral density functions can have highly distinct spectral correlation functions. The different spectral correlation function characteristic can be used to classify modulated signals, even when the signals are buried in noise. Computer simulations for different types of digital communication signal corrupted by Gaussian noise have been carried out. It is found that all modulation types of interest have been classified with success rate≥90% at S NR =5dB.

该文提出了一种用于数字通信信号自动调制识别的新方法。一些调制类型有着相同的功率谱密度,但它们的谱相关函数却有明显区别。利用谱相关性质可以识别出噪声中的调制信号。该文对高斯噪声中数字通信信号的自动识别进行了计算机仿真。实验结果表明,在信噪比为5 dB时,识别成功率不低于90 % 。

The whole and local fractal dimension were regarded as features in order to improve the ability of modulation recognition of signals. They reflect complexity degree of the most direct and visible waveform. A new method of recognition was that using precise measure theory combined many single classifiers. These classifiers only have good correction-rate on modulation recognition in small SNR range. The end result is that correction-rate is evidently improved in whole SNR range. 为提高信号调制识别的能力 ,提出了一种以最直接、最直观的信号波形的复杂度 -分形维数为特征 ,并运用测度理论来组合多个在小信噪比范围内对通信信号调制类型有较高识别率的分类器 ,从而实现大信噪比范围内识别率明显改善的新方法 ,同时 ,应用该方法也可简化单个分类器的设计 ,提高分类识别效率。计算机模拟结果证实了此方法的有效性
