WAGCA(wavefront aberration guided cornea ablation)is a corneal refractive surgery method for wavefront-guided ablation. The purpose of this research was to determine the corneal contribution to the aberrations of the human eyes, and to create an ideal correction. The research will lead to "perfect" vision , "supervision" vision, "eagle" vision, "aberration" viion, it can reduce aberrations and eliminate night vision problems caused by PRK/LASIK surgery. The concept of the human aberration was presented and analyzed why causing aberration. We applied Zernike polynomials to describe the shape of an aberrated wavefront in the pupil of an optical system fitted the data to a Zernike series to reconstruct the wavefront aberrations of living human eye. Given the expressions aberration guided cornea ablation depth, mechanism of action of excimer laser corneal surgery, the schema of the excimer laser aberration correction system. Our experiments results show WAGCA can reduce wavefront aberration.

A novel liquid crystal phase modulator(LCPM) of 2D liquid crystal array with parallel alignment was fabricated.And experiments of Zernike polynomial production and distorted wavefront modulation were conducted on the Zygo interferometer with the LCPM.The wavefront profiles of the first 2nd to 8th Zernike polynomial were produced successfully.Sixteen Zernike polynomials were used to modulate the distorted wavefront,the peak-to-valley value(PV) was improved from(0.831λ) before modulation to(0.444λ) after that,root...

研制出新型平行排列的二维阵列液晶相位调制器(LCPM),利用此相位调制器在Zygo干涉仪上进行了泽尼克(Zernike)多项式的产生和畸变波前调制的实验。能够很好地产生泽尼克多项式的前2~8项面形,用16项泽尼克模式对畸变波前进行了调制,峰谷(PV)值可由调制前的0.831λ减小到调制后的0.444λ,均方根(RMS)由调制前的0.181λ减小到调制后0.066λ,斯特列尔比(Strehl ratio,SR)由调制前的0.257达到调制后的0.844。实验结果表明,在光学成像系统中,利用平行排列的液晶相位调制器,进行波前像差的调制可以使成像质量得到很好的改善。

The most recent work on wavefront aberrations and their corrections are reviewed in this article.The onset and the factors that influence the formation and representation of wavefront aberrations are introduced.The relationship between Zernike polynomials and wavefront aberrations is also emphasized.Wavefront-guided LASIK has been developed and the principle,structure and progress of this work are discussed.This system has been applied in the clinic with satisfactory outcomes.

本文研究波前像差及其矫正方法,为抑制术后像差的增大提供理论依据。详细介绍了波前像差的概念、形成原因及其表示方法,并重点研究了Zernike多项式与人眼波前像差的对应关系。研制出波前像差引导的准分子人眼像差矫正系统,并详细介绍了该系统的原理、结构和工作流程。目前,该系统已应用于临床治疗,并取得了良好的效果。
