We introduced respectively the liquid solid photocatalysis which is used to treat industrial waste water , agricultrual waste water and drinking water , and the gas solid photocatalysis which is used to harness air pollution. The feasibility of photocatalytic technique, applied to deal with oil bearing waste water, is considered. The results show as follows: It is feasible to use photocatalytic to deal with oil bearing waste water in oilfields, the activation of TiO 2 is the highest in varieties of catalysts, within a certain range of grain size, the smaller the grain size is, the higher the activivation. In addition, fixed reaction system should be applied to do continuous amplifying test, and the direction of photocatalytic oxidation technology is put forward.
