Thirdly, regional air pollution characteristics of Chinese three economy circles are analyzed and compared. Nudging emission are used to simulate daily SO_2, NO_X and PM10 concentration of Peking and Shanghai in September and December, contributions of local and peripheral pollution source on urban air pollution are studied by above results.
As an example, the pollution contributions of CO, NOx, and THC, which are major pollutants from vehicles, were studied for an central area of 158 km2 of Beijing city. The study shows that the regional pollution contributions for CO, NOx and THC reached 14.3%, 32.2% and 86.6% in winter and 58.4%, 68.7%, and 86.6% in fall, respectively.
