In this paper, a simplified reaction net for multiple reaction of synthesis vinyl acetate in fixedbed tubular reactor is given, a new method of calculation of the yield and conversion are provided.
The results of hot modelling test of the stirred bed reactor showed that the conversion of UO2 to UF4 in the exit stream was 47-50% and the hydrogen fluoride remaining in the exhaust gas was less than 5% Comparison with the circuit of two fluidized beds in series showed that the conversion of stirred bed was nearly same as the first fluidized bed but the hydrogen fluoride remaining in the exhaust gas was considerably decreased.
Taking minimum total volume of the reactor as the objective function, and making use of graphic method, to determine the optimized outlet conversion rate and based on this to calculate the volume of each multi-stage series reactor.
Finally the effects of the operation parameters on the hot spot temperature and the outlet conversion are studied and the optimiz- ing operation conditions are obtained.
