(3)Pubic symphysis surface is formed by connecting fibrous cartilage, pubic symphysis surface is wide on upper part and is narrow on lower part or it has oval shape, upper part is 10.54 ± 0.32mm for man and is 11.45 ± 0.29mm for woman, distance between pubic tubercles is 59.68 ±0.89mm for man and is 62.67 ±0.53mm for woman.
CT scanning from diaphragma to pubic symphysis with breathholding after profound inspiration and 10 mm slice thickness,10 mm slice space and 350 window width as well as 40 window level.
The results were as follows : The total length of the left external iliac vein, the common iliac vein and the inferior vena cava was 386.13±29.38 mm and the linear regression equation was Y = 255.31+3.70X, where Y is the total length and X the distance between the superior margin of pubic symphysis and the joint of body and the xiphoid process of sternum.
The distance between the point of 20.0mm inferior from inguinal ligament and initial point of celiac artery, the distance between the jugular notch and the superior margin of the pubic symphysis were measured and the even values of the first and the second distances were 301. 6 + 38.7mm and 501. 6 + 37. 5mm respe- ctively.
Results:the distances from the lowest margin of the peritoneal fold to the umbilicus and the symphysis pubis are 15.8±4.0 cm and 5.2±1.9 cm,which from the apex of the urinary bladder to the umbilicus and the symphysis pubis are 13.7±3.6 cm and 7.2±2.2 cm respectively.
Results The distances from the bladder apex to the umbilicus and to the symphysis pubis were (14.1±3.4) cm and (6.8±1.4) cm respectively, while from the utero vesical pouch to umbilicus and symphysis pubis were (15.8±3.9) cm and (4.9±1.5) cm respectively.
Methods Fifty-one patients suspicious of having colorectal carcinoma underwent spiral CT scans performed from the dome of the diaphragm to symphysis pubica after cleansing enema and rectal air insufflation.
Materials and Methods:MSCT. lightspeed made by GE company was applied to scan from surasternal notch to symphysis pubica, eight cases of AD were found and their images were analyzed.
To elucidate compositional changes of the pubic symphysis (PS) by aging, elements of pubic symphyses (PSs) removed from 26 cadavers were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic-emission spectrometry.
Calcanei were chosen for analysis of mineral contents in contrast with femoral, popliteal and common carotid arteries, internal jugular veins, and pubic symphysis.
One patient with both plain film and CT evidence of sacroiliac abnormalities had an MR examination showing abnormal signal at both sacroiliac joints and at the pubic symphysis.
The pelvis presented a mottled appearance of the trabecular pattern at the symphysis pubis and the lateral parts of ischii and sclerosis in the acetabular region.
Periarticular hematopoietic marrow predominated in the sacroiliac region (72% of patients) with little residual hematopoietic marrow noted in the symphysis pubis (5%) and hip joints (30%).
