Among the eleven transgenic clones with Bt Cry1Aa gene, CpTI gene, AaIT gene and Bt + CpTI genes, 4 clones, FB56, FC5, T22, D18, were provided with superiorinsecticidal capacity. The revised mortality of 1st instar larvae reached 84.3%, 98.0%, 91.1% and 90.2% respectively. The insecticidal capacity of transgenic poplars assumed seasonal rhythm.
Two kinds of poplar clones wood, poplar 72 (Populus euramericana cv.I-72/58) and poplar 69(P.deltoides cv.I-69/55) were selected as the materials. It was analysed that the difference between heartwood and sapwood about the content of chemical components,pH value and buffer content from the plantation poplars.
The composition of molecular species and the positional distribution in fatty acids of phosphatidylglycerol (PG) isolated from poplar (Populus deltoides cv.Lux 1 69/55 and Poeuramericana cv.I-45/51) leaves were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), enzym hydrolysis and gas phase chromatography (GC), and the different cold resistant poplars were compared with respect to the compositions of molecular species of PG isolated from their leaves.
For grass,annual biomass,dead root biomass,decomposition and growth of roots were 0.501,0.035,0.023,0.691t·hm -2 ,respectively,and the turnover rate was 1.38 times per year. Meanwhile the equation for dry weight loss of fine roots of poplar tree over time was presented as following:lnx/x\-0=0.9159e -0.0014t .
The result shows that the yield of wheat in the new cultivation patterns is reduced by 10%～15% than that in the mono crop field at the 5th year since poplar trees were incorporated [the cultivation model are (3×3) m×20 m,(3×3) m×30 m,(3×3) m×40 m];
Effects of Cutting Density on Growth, Yield and Quality of Poplar Clone Seedlings
In order to identify the optimum cutting density for producing the highest number of plantable seedlings of poplar clones, a split-plot randomized block design was used to establish four cutting densities in plots.
Results indicated that the leaf area, stem and leaf biomass, and caliper of seedlings of all four poplar clones increased with the decrease in cutting density.
According to the seedling quality and the number of plantable seedlings produced, the suggested cutting density for these four poplar clones was 50,000 stems/hm2.
Nutrient Dynamics of Fine Roots in the Mixed Plantation of Poplar and Black Locust
With the completion of the poplar tree genome database, Populus species have become one of the most useful model systems for the study of woody plant biology.

Fluorescences of poplar tree leaves growing naturally at a distance of 60 m from the lidar were successfully detected as two spectral images at wavelengths of 685 nm and 740 nm.
The intensity ratio of the images reflected the status of the poplar tree in the process of senescence so well that it was possible to assess the living status of the tree as a numerical value.
Growth Parameters and Heavy Metal Accumulation in Poplar Tree Cultures (Populus euramericana) Utilizing Water and Sludge from a
