Results The positive rates of telomerase activity in sputum cells, BALF and bioptic tissues from 30 cases of primary lung cancer were 66.7%, 70.0% and 83.3% respectively, higher than that of the corresponding cytology and histopathology methods: 13.3%, 40.0%, 70.0%.
Methods The sputum, BALF, bronchoscopic bioptic tissues from 30 lung cancers, 30 pneumonitis and 30 tuberculosis patients, and 10 cases of normal lung tissue samples were collected and detected for telomerase activity by PCR-based TRAP assay.
The diagnostic effect of taking orally brilliant blue method evidently exceled its control group,its Se was 0.94,Sp was 0.99,YI was 0.93,higher than its control groups,bioptic positive rate with taking orally brilliant blue method(93.44%) was higher than its control groups(58.62%),the both methods were significantly different( P <0.005).
