Methods:Fifty- four lung masses were analysed by color doppler ultrasound with a3.5～ 5 MHz trans- ducer,while the sample volume size between 2～ 3mm,frequency of wall filter set- ting was at 5 0 MHz,correct angles were less than 6 0 degree. The diagnosis was proved by ultrasound- guided needle biopsy pathology in all patients.
Results The total rates of positive results by the needle biopsy in chest lesions were 84% in cytology and 100% in histology. Mild symptomless pneumothorax happened in two cases but no severe complication.
