Methods Procollagen type I (PCⅠ),procollagen type Ⅲ(PCⅢ),laminin(LN) and hyaluronic acid (HA) in serum were measured in 38 cases of myocardial infarction(MI group),32 cases of angina pectoris (AP group) and 34 normal aged people (NS group).
METHODS: The right common carotid artery of male rabbits were injured with 3.5F balloon catheter. Four weeks after operation, arterial tissure collagen content, serum procollagen type I(PCI), procollagen type Ⅲ(PCⅢ) concentration, neointimal thickness and the rate of stenosis were measured.
Results Collagen synthesis and type I procollagen mRNA level in HS and normal dermal fibroblasts remained unchanged at energy level of 500J/cm 2,and were significantly decreased at energy densities of 1500 and 200J/cm 2(P<0.001).
The serum concentrations of the carboxyterminal propeptide of type I procollagen (PICP) and aminoterminal propeptide of type Ⅲ precollagen (PⅢNP) on days 5, 15, 30 and 90 were determined by the radioimmunologic method.
