Abstract Prostate tissu extracts from 20 patients with prostatic carcinoma (PC) and 20patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) were quantitatively assayed for expression of immunoreactive transforming growth factor-β1, (TGF-β1 ) with sand-wich ELISA.
Results The data showed that the fasting TI levels were no significant difference( P >0 05)among NGT,IGT and type 2 DM groups,but the immunoreactive insulin (IRI) was significantly increased in type 2 DM patients compared to NGT( P <0 01).
