In the engineering and technological aspect, a distinguishing feature of the residual oil cracking process under development is the heat balance of reactor- regenerator section and the application of techniques for removing heat from the fluidized bed due to increased coke yields. The first part of this paper presents the criteria of heat balance of different modes of regeneration without heat removal and then the relationship between △T (temperature difference between regenerator and reactor) and △C (difference between carbon contents of spent cabalyst and regenerated catalyst). Under the condition that heat is in excess, the quantity of heat to be removed per unit mass of coke burnt off is given. Further, the influence of some operating parameters on the operable zone of heat removal in commercial units based on the analysis of heat balance is discussed. The second part describes the application of several heat removal techniques including the installation of internal bed coils and/or external cata- lyst coolers. For the latter case a comparison of the upflow and the downflow arrangements for fast fluidization type regeneration is recommended. Then follows the discussion of the optimum distribution of carbon burning capacity and heat removal load for the scheme of two-stage regeneration. Thence, the rational combination of heat removal techniques and catalyst regeneration processes within the regenerator system is suggested. Finally, this paper gives a comparison of two modes of the utilization of potential energy of carbon monoxide in the regenerator flue gas on the base of overall energy economy.

The influence of three straight chain azido-nitramine compounds on energy and combustion properties of two type of CMDB base formulations is discussed. The results show that for RDX-CMDB propellant using azido-nitramine compound as additive is a new method to enhance burning rate. The burning rate rises about 8%~43%as 15% DATH is substituted for RDX in low-smoke propellant at same energy level.Meanwhile, the nitrogen moles in combustion gases is increased, which is valuable to reduce signature characteristics...
