Using 30 plus trees seedlings of Fokienia hodginsii,progeny tests were built on state-owned forest farm of Biqing,Yongchun,Fujian in 1998.Based on the investigation of 8-year-old progeny tests,6 superior families were tentatively selected.
Based on the EST sequence of glutathione S-transferase gene from Tamarix androssowii (TaGST) published on GenBank, a TaGST cDNA was cloned with 3' and 5' RACE techniques. The full length of TaGST was 1 175 bp with ORF of 672 bp that encoded 224 amino acid residues(GenBank accission No. DQ683363).
Based on the established regeneration system,an efficient kanamycin system of clone 3226/3228 of Eucalyptus urophylla×grandis mediated by Agrobacterium was developed. Stem segments were served as explants for transformation,and the factors affecting the transformation frequency,such as pre-culture time,infection time and co-culture time,were discussed by GUS coloration analysis.
Based on BATS1E model being operated on 6h time step ,which the BATS land surface process couples with vegetation growth process, using the meteorological observation data of surface and solar radiation from 2001 to 2002 in MoHe, Heilongjiang Province, the relation between the deciduous needle-leaf forest in cold-temperate zone and the climatic factors is analyzed .
Using the fatal forest fire data obtained from 15 to 18 April 2003 in Diebu and meteorological data obtained from May 2002 to April 2003,the Meteorological Conditions of the fire are analyzed,and EOS/MODIS data are used to analyze the soil humidity and the degree of fire.
