The posssiblity of transient irradiation effect simulation using a pulsed laser has been investigated in this paper. The results of irradiation tests to several typical circuits were given, and the responses of the pulsed laser were compared with that obtained from the flash X-ray and presented. A possible rate range for the laser is achieved.
