Based on experiments from two fast fluidization columns(D=0.186 m× 8m and D=0.140m×12m)and the literature study,the effects of gas velocity,solids circulation rate,particle properties,bed diameter and solids inlet and exit structure on the axial cross-sectionally averaged voidage distri- bution in fast fluidized beds were studied.
