This paper describes the results of the erosive functions of HTPB composite propellant determined by double-sample and burn interruption multiple-sample techniques. The influence on the erosive characteristics is produced when the propellant burn elocity and the gaseous composition of the propellant surface vary. The experimental results show that the erosion of the propellant of the same basic composition is severer at the slow burn velocity than at the fast one. Meanwhile, the erosion of the propellant having the high gaseous temperature and many solid particles is severer than that of the propellant having the low gaseous temperature and few solid particles. This part is compares the experimental results with the calculated ones.Initial analyses of the experimental results are made.
