The styles of L. regale had been cut short about 3mm above the ovaries before pollination, the shrivelled capsules were obtained. In all ovules the endosperms were aborted, and the length of embryos were approximately 0.6mm (about 1/10 of normal embryo ) . They were taken out under sterilized con-dition and cultured on the medium of Murashige and Skoog ( 1962 ) sup-plemented with 0.0001mg/1 NAA(pH5.0) in vitro. Some seedlings were grown up but most of them could not survive. From 23 dying embryos callus and bulblet-like callus were observed. These calli grew into see-dlings on the medium supplemented with BA and IAA or NAA. The color of the hybrid seedlings were purplish green(while the seed parent purplish and the pollen parent green ) . According to the appraise of morphologic characteristics, karyotypes and isozymic patterns these seedling were affirmed to be the distantly related hybrids of L.regale χ L. davidii var. unicolor.

Est-IV3 shows higher active in the electrophoregrams in C. moschata D..It is the mark isoesterase of this species. C. maxima L. has a mark enzyme named Est-V4. That shows highest active on the gel. There are their own isoesterases for the species, which could be used to identify these three species by only using the seeds.

本文分析了南瓜属(Cucurbita)的三个主要栽培种:美洲南瓜(C.pepoL.)、中国南瓜((C.moschata D.)和印度南瓜(C.maxima D.)的子叶过氧化物酶和种子酯酶同工酶酶谱,过氧化物酶分离出17条酶带;酯酶共分离出20条酶带,分属五个酶区。每一栽培种的4个品种间酯酶同工酶谱带非常接近,而三个种表现出较高的种间特异性。Est-Ⅲ3是美洲南瓜的特异性酶带。Est-Ⅳ3在中国南瓜的品种内表现一致,并且有较高的活性,而高活性的Est-Ⅴ4酶带是印度南瓜的特色。从酶谱分析亲缘关系结果为:印度南瓜、美洲南瓜与中国南瓜的关系较近,而印度南瓜与美洲南瓜之间的关系较远,这与前人利用种间杂交和细胞学研究的结果相吻合。
