This paper analyses the curvature distribution characteristics of reinforced concrete members with flexural and compressive axial load, simplifies the curvatures in two working levels on half-span with bilinear and trilinear distribution, and deduces formulas for determining the boundaries between two adjacent regions.The method presented is suitable for hand computation of the ductility factor of structural members, By the proposed formulas and method, 24 reinforced concrete members with flexural and compressive axial load have been analysed and satistactory results have been obtained. Based on the experimental and theoretical analysis, this paper also demonstrates the reasonable value adopted for ultimate strain of concrete and considers that it is sensible to take eu= 0.003 for ductility analysis of unconfined reinforced concrete members with flexural and compressive axial load.

(2) The deeper the piles are embedded, the more the displacement and rotation of the pile top will be. (3) The calculated maximum bending...

This paper point out three main problems existed in 《Method K》 (proposed by D.V Ankeresiji,a Russian expert,in 1937) based on the theory of elastic foundation beam for calculating laterally loaded piles. They are as follows: (1)It does not conform to the displacement reciprocal theorem and does not equivalently evaluate the response of piles with horizontal load and moment. (2) The deeper the piles are embedded, the more the displacement and rotation of the pile top will be. (3) The calculated maximum bending moment generally appears more than the actually measured value. The stronger the soil is and the deeper the pile embedment is, the larger the deviation of the calculated value from the measured one will be. The foundamental cause of them was that the first zero point of pile displacement was taken as the dividing point of variation in the pattern of lateral subgrade factors, and the estimated resistance of upper stratum was too low. Therefore, the use of the 《Method K》 for calcuIating piles in design will lead to some errors or wastes.

本文指出,源于弹性地基梁理论计算侧向受力桩的《K法》,存在三个主要问题:①不符合位移互等定理,非等效估量桩在水平荷载和弯矩荷载下的反应;②桩的入土深度愈大,桩顶水平位移和转角反而愈大;③计算最大截面弯矩一般比实测值大,且土质愈好、桩愈深,计算与实测值间的偏离度愈大。造成以上问题的基本原因是由于《K法》所假定的基床系数图式以第一位移零点为变化分界点,和对上部土层的抗力作用估计过低。
