Among the tested cultivars of beer barley,the cultivars 9303 and Ganpi 4 had better yield characters in higher spike rate(67.4 % and 76.6 % respectively) and higher yield(4048.993 and 4365.818 kg/hm2 respectively) than others,displaying drought adapability to local growth environment.
The results show that the compound fertilizer can promote nutrient growth of wheat in earlier stage, increase effective spike rate by 21% and yield of wheat by 8%～15%, and its cost of fertilization is also lower than that of imports under the conditions of equal nitrogen contents and same fertilizer effect.
The yield increasing reasons of double-plant transplanting culture were studied and analyzedon the basis of the characters of growth and decline of tillers,panicle bearing tiller rate,distribution of pani-cle length,thickness of stem,structure of panicle and grain.
The results showed that,compared with single- plant transplanting culture,the double- plant transplanting culture had fewer tillers and a shorter periodof ineffective tillering,with a high panicle bearing tiller rate(82.23%)and large panicles;
(3)Ther was anegative correlation between the number of seedling,stem(tiller)per mu and oanicle bearing rillers tate; there was positive correlation be-tween Stem(tiller)number per plant and the panicle bearing tiller rate.
The moderate population of Shanyou 559 is 180,000～195,000 holes per hm 2, which had higher percentage of ear bearing tiller, higher ratio between grain and leaf and higher production capacity for dry matter in mid-late growth stage, therefore resulted in higher yield.
The technique of cultivation with broadcast sowing and the mechanism of increase production in winter wheat were studied systematically. The results showed that cultivation with broadcast sowing could be of advantage to rooting and tillering of seedling before winter, and increase the percentage of ear bearing tiller.
At the ineffective tillering stage,spraying inhibitors could obviously reduce the number of ineffective tiller and decrease the peak seedling number of the population,thus increasing the N uptake,enhancing the efficiency of N utilization,the productive tiller percentage and rice yield.
