We used landscape diversity index (H),dominance index (DI),fractal dimension (D) and modif ied fractal dimension(Dm) to compare the spatial pattern of landscape between the low salt area(LS) andthe high salt area(HS) in Linze County,Gansu Province.
By using GIS technique, ARCINFO and other statistical software, the landscape spatial patterns and its diversities of the Maoershan Forest Farm were analyzed based on a forest type map (1:10、000), a soil utilization map (1:10、000) and field survey data.
By using three-period aerial photo as basic information resource and withthe support of ARC/INFO , a space information storehouse is built up. Through selecting patches size , fractal dimension, dominance, diversity index, evenness index, etc,the dynamic development of land sight space pattern of Nihegou Valley in the loessplateau gully area is analysized.
That is helpful for comprehensively appraising landscape spatial patterns and ecological functions, also, presents a new method for analyzing landscape features from multidimensional aspects.
The resulting landscape spatial patterns were quantified using a suite of landscape pattern metrics and plotted as a function of mean harvest size and total area of forest harvested per decade to produce response surfaces.
