La polarisation des nebuleuses galactiques a ete observee en photographiant ces objets a travers un polarimetre de type Ohman ou Lyot. Deux cliches, correspondants a deux orientations de 1'analyseur differant d'un angle de π/4, suffisent pour determiner les pourcentages de lumiere polarisee et les directions des plans de polarisation de nombreuses aires nebulaires. La polarisation des nebuleuses galactiques a ete observee en photographiant ces objets a travers un polarimetre de type Ohman ou Lyot. Deux cliches, correspondants a deux orientations de 1'analyseur differant d'un angle de π/4, suffisent pour determiner les pourcentages de lumiere polarisee et les directions des plans de polarisation de nombreuses aires nebulaires. Les mesures polarimetriques, effectuees sur la nebuleuse du Crabe, ont porte sur 29 aires de 8″ de diametre. Dans toutes les regions ou la structure filamenteuse de la masse "amorphe" n'est pas trop emmelee, les directions des plans de polarisation coincident avec celles des filaments decouverts par Baade (fig. 4). Les resultats, identiques dans les domaines spectraux 4000—5000A et 5200—5800A, montrent une polarisation tres elevee (>40%), en accord avec la theorie developpee par Shklovsky et par Oort. Malgre les difficultes d'observations des nebuleuses diffusantes en raison de leur faible luminance par rapport a celle du ciel nocturne, les mesures polarimetriques ont porte sur 117 aires appartenant a 10 nebulosites. Les regions les plus polarisees montrent des taux de polarisation variant de 20% a 40% suivant les nebuleuses considerees. Si la polarisation radiale de NGC 7023 demeure le caractere principal de cette masse nebulaire, il semble mieux etabli que les directions des plans de polarisation observes coincident avec les trainees lumineuses decelables. La polarisation trouvee pour les autres nebulosites ne peut etre qualifiee de radiale; mais il est encore possible de constater que la direction des plans de polarisation suit les trainees lumineuses les mieux definies. La determination des exces de couleur montre d'une maniere generale qu'une nebuleuse diffusante est un peu plus bleue que l'etoile qui l'eclaire, avec une variation systematique en fonction de la distance a 1'etoile. Les resultats des observations s'accordent avec ceux que donne la diffusion de la lumiere par des particules solides de dimensions comparables aux longueurs d'onde du spectre visible.

The key factor of theactivity of cinder lies in the decomposition, vitrification and melting of the clay mineralswhile the other minerals exhibit almost no effect.When the burning temperature of coal isbelow 1000℃, the activity of the cinder is produced by the amorphous matter resulting fromthe decomposition of the clay minerals.If the essential ingredient of the clay minerals iskaolinite, the cinder derives its activity from the metakaolinite. When the burning tempe-rature is over 1200℃, the cinder owes its activity to the vitrified substance.

本文着重从燃料的原始成分,燃烧温度和燃料在加热过程的物理化学变化中,提出燃料灰渣产生活性有两个温度区域——中温活性区和高温活性区。指出粘土矿物加热时的分解、玻璃化和熔融是灰渣产生活性的主要原因,而其他矿物在高温下产生活性的可能性很小。低于1000℃燃烧的灰渣,活性来源于粘土矿物分解所生成的无定形物质,如果粘土矿物以高岭石为主,则活性是由于生成了偏高岭石。高于1200℃燃烧的灰渣其活性均由玻璃体所产生。
