Aim:To explore the protective effects of prophylactic inhalation of negative air ions on noise-induced hearing loss and the rule of hearing recovery. Methods:63 ears of guinea pigs with nor-mal hearing were randomly divided into three groups and were exposed to three different kinds of white noise(115 dB SPL for 0.5h,115 dB SPL for 1 h and 118 dB SPL for 1 h)after inhalation of negative air ions with a concentration of 0.96 x 106~1.07 x 106/cm3 2 h a day for 11~13 days. Hearing thresh-old of the animals before and after inhalation of negative air ions and 8 h,24 h,48 h,72 h,96 h,86,21 d, 31 d, 45 d after noise exposure were determined using the auditory cortex evoked response (AC-ER ) to click by a computer averaging technique. Restiltx:The prophylactic inhalation of negative air ions could alleviate noise-induced hearing loss and promote hearing recovery. Significant differences (P<0.01)could be seen between those animals with and without prophylactic negative air ions inhalation after exposure to intensive noise of 118 dB SPL for 1 h. With the prophylactic inhalation of negative air ions, most of the animals showed only temporary threshold shift (TTS)and the average threshold shift recovered to preexposure level 8 days after the noise exposure, whereas in the non-inhalation control group most animals developed 18.2 dB permanent threshold shift(PTS).Conclusion:There was marked portective effect of negative air ions on noise-induced hearing loss. The results provided theoret- ical basis and a new approach for the further study on the protection against noise一induced hearing loss and the mechanism involved.

目的:探索预防性吸入空气负离子对噪声性听力损失的保护作用和听力恢复规律。方法:选用听力正常豚鼠63只耳,随机分为三个组,分别预先吸入空气负离子(浓度为0.96x106~1.07x106/cm32h/dx11~13)然后给与三种不同白噪声暴露(115dBSPL0.5h,115dBSPL1h及118dBSPL1h),并动态测定噪声暴露后8、24、48、72、96小时与8、21、31、45天豚鼠的皮层听阈。结果:预防性吸入空气负离子具有减轻噪声件听力损失、促进听力恢复的作用;尤其对强噪声暴露(118dBSPL1h)所产生的听力损伤,吸与不吸空气负离子两组之间有非常显著的差异(P<0.01),吸空气负离子组豚鼠的听力大部分为暂时性阈移(TTS),而不吸空气负离子的对照组则留有18.2dB不可恢复的永久性阈移(PTS)。结论:预先吸入空气负离子对噪声性听力损失有明显的保护效果,实验结果为进一步研究其保护作用及机理提供了理论依据和新途径。

In order to describe quantitatively the pilots’hearing injury by noise in fighter cockpit,the noise level was measured in the cockpit.The temporary threshold shift(TTS) was studied in 20 healthy young man and permanent threshold shift was examined in 166 fighter pilots.The results showed that noise level in cockpit was 110 dBA and TTS after 2 min noise exposure decreased signifilantly and reached 13 dB at a certain frequency.Its reco very course is faster in low frequency part and language frequency part than that in high frequency part.It was also found that 56% of the 166 pilots suffered from high frequency hearing loss and the percentage increased with flight time.The feature of hearing loss is that it occurs in high frequency at first,then in language frequency,forming a “V" shaped depression at 6000 Hz.It indicates that cockpit noise may cause permanent threshold shift of hearing.

为定量地描述飞机噪声对飞行员听力损伤程度,测量了歼击机座舱内的噪声,均在110dBA左右,研究了飞机噪声引起的暂时性听力阈移(TTS),发现TTS2下降明显,有的频率高达13dB。其恢复过程的特点是低频和语频部分较快,而高频部分较慢,检查了166名歼击机飞行员的听力,有轻度以上高频听力损失者达53.6%,而且是随着飞行时间增加而加重的。由此说明飞机座舱噪声可以引起飞行员的永久性听力阈移,其损伤特点是先高频后语频,高频听力损失的V型凹点频率是6000Hz。
